Biography
Katherine Dunham (* June 24, 1909 in Chicago; † May 21, 2006 in New York City) was an american dancer, choreographer, songwriter, actress and activist (1909/1912–2006). She was 96 years old. She had 1 child. Her education included University of Chicago, Joliet Junior College and Joliet Central High School. She received 8 awards, including Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors.
