Biography
Katherine Johnson (* August 26, 1918 in White Sulphur Springs; † February 24, 2020 in Newport News) was an african-American mathematician. She was 101 years old. She had 3 children. Her education included West Virginia University and West Virginia State University. She received 7 awards, including Presidential Medal of Freedom, BBC 100 Women. She was buried at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
