Konrad Emil Bloch (* January 21, 1912 in Nysa; † October 15, 2000 in Lexington) was a german American biochemist. He was 88 years old. His education included Columbia University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Technical University of Munich. He received 6 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. His cause of death was heart failure. He was buried at Sunset Memory Gardens.
