Leonora Carrington (* April 6, 1917 in Clayton-le-Woods; † May 25, 2011 in Mexico City) was a british-born Mexican artist, painter and novelist. She was 94 years old. She was married to Emérico Weisz and Renato Leduc. Her education included Chelsea Grin, New Hall School and Chelsea College of Art and Design. Her awards include National Prize for Arts and Sciences and Women's Caucus for Art Lifetime Achievement Award. Her cause of death was disease.
