Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi (* August 15, 1948 in Najaf; † December 24, 2018 in Tehran) was an iranian Ayatollah. He was 70 years old. He studied at Najaf Seminary. His faith was Shia Islam. His cause of death was brain cancer. He was buried at Fatima Masumeh Shrine.
