Biography
Marjane Satrapi (* November 22, 1969 in Rasht County; † June 4, 2026 in Paris) was an iranian-French graphic novelist, cartoonist, illustrator, film director, and children's book author. She was 56 years old. She was married to Mattias Ripa. Her education included École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, Lycée Français de Vienne, Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch, Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch and Razi High School. She received 9 awards, including Jury Prize, Sutherland Trophy.
