Michael Somare (* April 9, 1936 in Rabaul; † February 25, 2021 in Port Moresby) was a papua New Guinean political figure, former prime minister. He was 84 years old. He was married to Veronica Somare. He was awarded the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
