He had 2 children. His education included Yale College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School and Jonathan Edwards College. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Nobel Prize in Physics. He was buried at Red Butte Cemetery.
