Ne Win (* May 24, 1911 in Paungdale; † December 5, 2002 in Yangon) was a military leader and head of state of Burma from 1962 to 1988. He was 91 years old. He was married to June Rose Bellamy. He had 6 children. He studied at University of Yangon. His faith was Theravāda. He was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award.
