Ntozake Shange (* October 18, 1948 in Trenton; † October 27, 2018 in Bowie) was an african American writer and performance artist. She was 70 years old. She was married to David Murray. Her education included Barnard College, University of Southern California and Trenton Central High School. She received 5 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Langston Hughes Medal. Her cause of death was cerebrovascular disease.
