He was 74 years old. He had at least 1 child (1 daughter). His awards include Medalha Tiradentes, Grand Cross of the Order of Rio Branco and Commander of the National Order of Merit. His cause of death was COVID-19. He was buried at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
