Biography
Otakar Vávra (* February 28, 1911 in Hradec Králové; † September 15, 2011 in Prague) was a czech film director, director, scriptwriter and university educator. He was 100 years old. He was married to Jitka Němcová. He received 6 awards, including Czech Medal of Merit, 1st class, Artis Bohemiae Amicis Medal. He was buried at Olšany Cemetery.
