Raja Rao (* November 8, 1908 in Hassan; † July 8, 2006 in Austin) was an indian-born English writer. He was 97 years old. His education included Aligarh Muslim University, University of Madras, University of Montpellier, University of Paris and Minto Circle. He received 4 awards, including Sahitya Akademi Award, Neustadt International Prize for Literature. His cause of death was heart failure.
