Robert Rauschenberg (* 22. October 1925 in Port Arthur; † 12. May 2008 in Captiva) was an american painter and graphic artist. He was 82 years old. His education included Black Mountain College, Art Students League of New York, Académie Julian, Kansas City Art Institute and University of Texas at Austin. He received 4 awards, including National Medal of Arts, Praemium Imperiale. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
