Robert Towne (* November 23, 1934 in Los Angeles; † July 1, 2024 in Los Angeles) was an american screenwriter, producer, director and actor. He was 89 years old. He was married to Julie Payne. His education included Pomona College and Chadwick School. His awards include Academy Award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay and Edgar Awards.
