Russell M. Nelson (* September 9, 1924 in Salt Lake City; † September 27, 2025 in Salt Lake City) was a cardiothoracic surgeon and 17th President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was 101 years old. He was married to Wendy Watson Nelson and Dantzel Nelson. He had 10 children. His education included University of Minnesota, University of Utah and University of Utah School of Medicine. His faith was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
