Biography
Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria (* August 3, 1923 in Manfalut; † March 17, 2012 in Alexandria) was a 117th pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church. He was 88 years old. He studied at Cairo University. His faith was Coptic Orthodox Church. He received 4 awards, including UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize, Al-Gaddafi International Prize for Human Rights. His cause of death was kidney failure. He was buried at Monastery of Saint Pishoy.
