Sérgio Mendes (* February 11, 1941 in Niterói; † September 5, 2024 in Encino) was a brazilian musician. He was 83 years old. He was married to Gracinha Leporace. He received 6 awards, including Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Order of Cultural Merit (Brazil). His cause of death was long covid.
