Shyamala Gopalan (* April 7, 1938 in Chennai; † February 11, 2009 in Oakland) was an indian-American biomedical scientist and researcher. She was 70 years old. She was married to Donald J. Harris. Her education included University of California, Berkeley and Lady Irwin College. Her cause of death was colorectal cancer.
