Biography
Stanisław Lem (* September 12, 1921 in Lviv; † March 27, 2006 in Kraków) was a polish science fiction author, philosopher and futurologist, studied medical doctor. He was 84 years old. He was married to Barbara Lem. His education included Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University and Jagiellonian University. His faith was atheism. He received 9 awards, including Golden Medal for Merit to Culture, Franz Kafka Prize. He was buried at Salwator Cemetery.
