Biography
Tzvetan Todorov (* March 1, 1939 in Sofia; † February 7, 2017 in 13th arrondissement of Paris) was a bulgarian historian, philosopher, structuralist literary critic, sociologist and essayist. He was 77 years old. He was married to Nancy Huston. His education included Sofia University and School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences. He received 9 awards, including Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences, Prix Européen de l'Essai Charles Veillon. His cause of death was neurological disorder.
