Biography
Virginia Hamilton (* March 12, 1936 in Yellow Springs; † February 19, 2002 in Dayton) was an american writer of children's books. She was 65 years old. She was married to Arnold Adoff. Her education included Antioch University, Antioch College and Ohio State University. She received 9 awards, including Hans Christian Andersen Award, MacArthur Fellows Program. Her cause of death was breast cancer.
