Biography
Walter Bonatti (* June 22, 1930 in Bergamo; † September 13, 2011 in Rome) was an italian mountaineer. He was 81 years old. He was married to Rossana Podestà. His awards include Lifetime Piolet d'Or, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and Giovannino d'oro. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
