Biography
Wilma Mankiller (* November 18, 1945 in Tahlequah; † April 6, 2010 in Adair County) was a chief of the Cherokee Nation. She was 64 years old. Her education included Skyline College and San Francisco State University. She received 6 awards, including National Women's Hall of Fame, National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Her cause of death was pancreatic cancer. She was buried at Stilwell.
