Did you know? Georg Sterzinsky became Bishop of Berlin in September 1989 – just weeks before the Wall fell. His diocese ran straight through the divided city, and perhaps his greatest task was to reunite the Catholic communities of East and West, separated for decades, into one Church. His work was devoted "in a special way to the service of reconciliation."
