Emoria remembers Yōichirō Nambu
1/2
Did you know? In 1960 Yoichiro Nambu had an idea almost no one could grasp: "spontaneous symmetry breaking." It became the foundation for how particles get their mass – the thinking behind the Higgs boson. One colleague called his work "way ahead of its time." The Nobel Prize for it reached Nambu only in 2008, almost half a century later.
