

African American teacher, writer, historian, and public health activist
Ada DeBlanc Simond (* 14. November 1903 in Iberia Parish; † 22. October 1989 in Austin) was an african American teacher, writer, historian, and public health activist. She was 85 years old. Her education included Iowa State University, University of Michigan, University of Chicago and Columbia University School of Social Work. She worked at Prairie View A&M University and Texas Department of Health. Her cause of death was myocardial infarction.
