Biography of Aikitu Tanakadate

Aikitu Tanakadate (* 16. October 1856 in Ninohe District; † 21. May 1952 in Setagaya) was a japanischer Geophysiker mit breitem wissenschaftlichen Interesse. He was 95 years old. His education included University of Glasgow and Tokyo University. He worked at Tokyo University, University of Tokyo, House of Peers, Tokyo Imperial University Aeronautical Research Institute, Earthquake Investigation Committee and League of Nations. He received 5 awards, including Order of the Sacred Treasure, 1st Class, Asahi Prize.
