Biography of Aischa Abd ar-Rahman

Aischa Abd ar-Rahman (* 18. November 1913 in Damietta; † 1. December 1998 in Cairo) was a ägyptische Schriftstellerin und Literaturwissenschaftlerin. She was 85 years old. She studied at Cairo University. She worked at Ain Shams University and University of al-Qarawiyyin. Her awards include King Faisal International Prize in Arabic Language and Literature and State Appreciation Award in Literature. Her cause of death was myocardial infarction.
