Alan Bates (* February 17, 1934 in Allestree; † December 27, 2003 in City of Westminster) was an english actor. He was 69 years old. He was married to Victoria Ward. He studied at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His awards include Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play and Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer. He was buried at All Saints Churchyard.
