Alan Sillitoe (* March 4, 1928 in Nottingham; † April 25, 2010 in London) was a british writer. He was 82 years old. He was married to Ruth Fainlight. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Hawthornden Prize. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Highgate Cemetery.
