Biography of Alexander Grossheim

Alexander Grossheim (* 23. February 1888 in Lykhivka; † 4. December 1948 in Saint Petersburg) was a russisch-sowjetischer Botaniker. He was 60 years old. His education included Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow Imperial University and Lomonosov Moscow State University. He worked at Komarov Botanical Institute, Saint Petersburg State University, Institute of Botany and National Botanical Garden of Georgia. He received 5 awards, including Stalin Prize, 2nd degree, Order of the Red Banner of Labour. He was buried at Literatorskie mostki.
