Alexei Smirnov (* 29. May 1899 in Moscow; † 10. March 1974 in Moscow) was a soviet historian. He was 74 years old. He studied at Faculty of Social Sciences of Moscow State University. He worked at Institute of Archaeology. He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
