
New Zealand museum curator, entomologist, and writer (1870–1930)
Alfred Philpott (* 15. December 1870 in Warwickshire; † 24. July 1930 in Auckland) was a new Zealand museum curator, entomologist, and writer. He was 59 years old. He worked at Southland Museum and Art Gallery, Cawthron Institute, The Nelson Mail and Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi and Fellow of the New Zealand Institute.
