Biography
Allan Sandage (* June 18, 1926 in Iowa City; † November 13, 2010 in San Gabriel) was an american astronomer. He was 84 years old. He was married to Mary Sandage. His education included California Institute of Technology and University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. He received 10 awards, including Elliott Cresson Medal, Gruber Prize in Cosmology. His cause of death was pancreatic cancer.
