Amano Teiyū (* 30. September 1884 in Toya; † 6. March 1980 in Musashino) was a japanischer Philosoph, Politiker und Erzieher. He was 95 years old. He studied at Kyoto University. He worked at University of Tokyo, Kagoshima University, Konan University and Dokkyo University. His faith was Christianity. His awards include Order of the Rising Sun, 1st class, Person of Cultural Merit and Knight Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. His cause of death was senility. He was buried at Zōshigaya Cemetery.
