Biography of André Franquin

André Franquin (* 3. January 1924 in Etterbeek; † 5. January 1997 in Saint-Laurent-du-Var) was a belgischer Zeichner und Autor. He was 73 years old. He studied at Institut Saint-Luc. He worked at Spirou, Fluide Glacial, Tintin and Le Trombone illustré. He received 5 awards, including Grand prix de la ville d'Angoulême, Prix Saint-Michel. His cause of death was myocardial infarction.
