Biography of Andrei Wassiljewitsch Blagoweschtschenski

Andrei Wassiljewitsch Blagoweschtschenski (* 1. June 1889 in Tashkent; † 24. September 1982 in Moscow) was a soviet botanist. He was 93 years old. His education included Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow Imperial University and Lomonosov Moscow State University. He worked at Voronezh State Agrarian University and N.V. Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden. His awards include Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution and VDNKh silver medal. He was buried at Donskoe cemetery.
