Biography of Andrej Scheptyzkyj

Andrej Scheptyzkyj (* 29. July 1865 in Prylbychi; † 1. November 1944 in Lviv) was a großerzbischof von Lemberg und Metropolit der Ukrainischen Griechisch-Katholischen Kirche. He was 79 years old. He studied at University of Wrocław. His faith was Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. His awards include Knight Grand Cross of the Iron Crown (Austria), Grand Cross of the Imperial Order of Leopold and honorary citizenship. His cause of death was influenza. He was buried at Saint George's Cathedral.
