Biography of Ángeles Alvariño

Ángeles Alvariño (* 3. October 1916 in Serantes; † 29. May 2005 in La Jolla) was a spanische Biologin, Ozeanographin und Hochschullehrerin. She was 88 years old. Her education included University of Santiago de Compostela and Complutense University of Madrid. She worked at Instituto Español de Oceanografía. Her awards include Fulbright Scholarship, Medalla de Plata de Galicia and Fellow of the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists.
