Biography of Anthony Hecht

Anthony Hecht (* 16. January 1923 in New York City; † 20. October 2004 in Washington, D.C.) was an amerikanischer Lyriker und Schriftsteller. He was 81 years old. His education included Columbia University, Bard College, University of Iowa, Kenyon College and Horace Mann School. He worked at Harvard University, University of Rochester, Yale University, Georgetown University and Smith College. He received 10 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Rome Prize. He was buried at Bard College.
