Biography of Betti Alver

Betti Alver (* 23. November 1906 in Jõgeva; † 19. June 1989 in Tartu) was an estnische Lyrikerin und Schriftstellerin. She was 82 years old. She was married to Mart Lepik and Heiti Talvik. Her education included Miina Härma Gymnasium and University of Tartu. She received 4 awards, including Honored Writer of the Estonian SSR, People's Writer of the Estonian SSR. She was buried at Raadi cemetery.
