Binyavanga Wainaina (* January 18, 1971 in Nakuru; † May 21, 2019 in Nairobi) was a kenyan writer. He was 48 years old. His education included University of East Anglia, University of Transkei, Mang'u High School and Lenana School. He was awarded the Caine Prize. His cause of death was stroke.
