Carla Bley (* May 11, 1936 in Oakland; † October 17, 2023 in Willow) was an american jazz composer, pianist, organist and bandleader. She was 87 years old. She had 3 husbands. Her awards include Guggenheim Fellowship, NEA Jazz Masters and honorary doctor of the University of Toulouse-II. Her cause of death was brain cancer.
