His awards include Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.
