Khaled Asaad (* 1. January 1932 in Tadmur; † 18. August 2015 in Palmyra) was a syrian archeologist. He was 83 years old. He studied at Damascus University. His awards include Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, Knight of the National Order of Merit and Order of Civil Merit of the Syrian Arab Republic. His cause of death was decapitation.
