Biography of Charles Benoît Hase

Charles Benoît Hase (* 11. May 1780 in Bad Sulza; † 21. March 1864 in Paris) was a deutscher Altphilologe. He was 83 years old. His education included Friedrich Schiller University Jena and University of Helmstedt. He worked at École nationale des langues orientales vivantes and Faculty of Arts of Paris. His awards include Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order and Commander of the Legion of Honour. He was buried at Cimetière de Montmartre - Division 23.
