Biography of Charles Upson Clark

Charles Upson Clark (* 14. January 1875 in Springfield; † 29. September 1960 in New York City) was an uS-amerikanischer Klassischer Philologe und Romanist. He was 85 years old. His education included Yale University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Sapienza University of Rome, Grenoble Alpes University and University of Paris. He worked at Yale University, American Academy in Rome, City College of New York and Columbia University. His awards include Rome Prize, Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy‎ and Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America. He was buried at Leavitt Cemetery.
