His education included Rostov Military Institute of Missile Forces, Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces, George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, DCAF, National Defense University and British Council. He received 10 awards, including Jubilee Medal "60 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR", Medal "For Impeccable Service".
