Christian J. Lambertsen (* 15. May 1917 in Westfield; † 11. February 2011 in Newtown Township) was a diving engineering pioneer, inventor of first scuba device. He was 93 years old. His education included Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. He worked at University of Pennsylvania. His awards include Legionnaire of Legion of Merit and John Scott Award.
